 Soft on the palate with a rich ruby colour, this blend of Pinot Noir and Rondo combines the best characteristics of classic English red wines. With flavours of strawberry, dark fruits and cherry on the palate. Leading to a long, mouth watering finish with light tannins and an excellent balance of acidity.

This beautiful red wine takes its name from a local landmark, Nethercote Hill that over looks the Avon Valley and Whitehall Vineyard.

This wine is perfect for pairing with red meats or drinking on its own. It has been made with grapes harvested from our Vineyard in Wiltshire. ABV: 11.5%

HARVEST DETAILS Picked from our Maud heath block on a south facing slope with chalk and loamy soils. Single Guyot trellis system with 4,100 vines per hectare. Most of these vines are 12-15 years old and we hand pick all of our grapes. The 2019 harvest produced an above average sized crop with good ripeness and crisp acidity.

 

About the producer

Whitehall Farm has been the family home to the Self family for five generations. Their history of growing and farming has naturally evolved into a desire to produce premium English still wines. 

Whitehall Vineyard was established in 2017 and lies on the rich, fertile soils of the Avon Valley, with a favourable aspect and an underlying bedrock of permeable limestone. 

This terroir is perfect for growing Rondo, ‘Bacchus’, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, the basis of all Whitehall wines.
