Grown on rare white Lias limestone, this Somerset wine made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier reflects the natural structure and balance of the land. Wildflowers and grasses thrive between the vines, fostering rich biodiversity. This elegant sparkling wine is crisp and zesty, with fine bubbles and aromas of gooseberry and toasted nuts. Fresh and flinty in youth, it offers honeyed complexity and the grace to age beautifully.

Tasting Notes The 2018 Somerset Brut opens with a fresh and vibrant bouquet, led by lifted citrus peel, gooseberry, and subtle grapefruit aromas. On the palate, a broad chalkiness provides elegant structure, framing bright fruit tones with refined poise. Hints of bread dough and a gently yeasty character bring depth and complexity, complemented by mellow nutty undertones that unfold gracefully. The finish is long and balanced, leaving a lasting impression of freshness and finesse.

Sitting just to the north-east of Bath, Tennygrove Vineyard was inspired by watching the movie 'A Good Year' at least annually for the last decade. When Ally and Rupert found themselves with land to spare at their farm with south-facing slopes and rich, loamy soil, there was no option but to plant vines. Tennygrove is poised to produce exceptional grapes that to produce English Sparkling Wine and Rose.
Managed by a team of experienced viticulturists, Tennygrove Vineyard is in full grape growing mode, and they are working carefully to preserve the natural beauty and fertility of the land. From careful soil management to precise pruning and harvesting techniques, every step of the process is designed to maximize the potential of the grapes and produce wines that truly showcase the unique terroir of Somerset.
