A delicious combination of melt-in-your-mouth smoothness of our iconic Vintage Bruton Beauty with a deliciously flavourful blend of chilli and garlic. Our award-winning organic cheddar is aged for up to 12 months before being infused with a blend of chillies for a powerful and distinctive cheddar cheese.
The Red Chilli Devil’s Dance cheddar was born in the Godminster kitchen when Richard Hollingbery – Godminster’s owner and founder – was hard at work perfecting his spicy hot sauce recipe. Pairing this fiery, peppery mixture with the smooth creaminess of his Vintage Organic Cheddar created a flavour combination that he knew he had to share with the world.
Richard’s deliciously flavourful hot sauce is carefully crafted with a generous helping of mouthwatering chilli to give it a rich, complex depth of heat. This hot sauce is then cooked, cooled, and blended with our award-winning Vintage Bruton Beauty cheddar (the very same cheese that also goes into our Black Truffle Howling Hound and our Oak-Smoked Cheyney’s Fortune) to create a powerfully flavoursome cheddar cheese.
About the Devil’s Dance
In a nearby village, a mysterious musician played his fiddle at a wedding party. The heat and fire of the dance could only be from the devil’s music, matched by the fiery heat in our chilli cheddar.
Packaging
The Red Chilli Devil’s Dance is enrobed in black wax to protect it and give it a longer Best Before date. This special food-grade wax is a by-product of refining petroleum and would otherwise go to waste!

What is Organic Cheese?
Organic cheeses, as opposed to regular cheeses, are made with organic milk – which is milk from farms that raise their animals in a certified organic way. Cows are fed with organic foods (often our own silage, grown here on the farm) free from chemicals, and freely graze in areas free from chemical fertilisers and pesticides. This results in a high quality milk that is used in products like our organic cheddar cheese. To be marketed as an organic product, producers must pass annual inspections and follow strict specifications.
