Godminster Vintage Organic Cheddar 150g Star Truckle

This 150g Star-Shaped Vintage Bruton beauty cheddar is ideal for the Christmas table, or as a thank you gift for a special person. Alternatively, they are simply a charming way to stock up your fridge and feed the family. Whatever its purpose, these legendary star-shaped truckles can be delivered directly to your door.

Featuring our deliciously smooth and creamy cheese, our Vintage Bruton Beauty is a multi-award-winning cheddar covered in our iconic burgundy wax. The cheddar is made to a traditional 90-year-old recipe and matured for up to 12 months.  At that point we select the very best cheese to be made into one of our legendary truckles. It has a rich depth of flavour with a wonderfully smooth texture.

All of our cheeses are made using pasteurised milk and they are certified organic by the Soil Association. They contain no artificial preservatives, and they are suitable for vegetarians.

Our original cheddar and a firm favourite, the Vintage Bruton Beauty’s signature smoothness puts it firmly at the heart of the cheeseboard.

Packaging

The Vintage Bruton Beauty is enrobed in our signature burgundy wax to protect it and give it a longer shelf life. This special food-grade wax is a by-product of refining petroleum and would otherwise go to waste! Our cheese comes packaged in an attractive gift box made from recycled cardboard that is also recyclable.

Cut into your truckle in Godminster style by chopping off the top and tucking in! Carefully score around the top and lift the lid to enjoy the delicious cheddar inside.

What is Organic Cheese?

Organic cheeses, as opposed to regular cheeses, are made with organic milk – which is milk from farms that raise their animals in a certified organic way. Cows are fed with organic foods (often our own silage, grown here on the farm) free from chemicals, and freely graze in areas free from chemical fertilisers and pesticides. This results in a high quality milk that is used in products like our organic cheddar cheese. To be marketed as an organic product, producers must pass annual inspections and follow strict specifications.
