Made from Seyval Blanc and Auxerrois grapes grown in chalky soils on the sheltered slopes of Salisbury Plain, this lively sparkling wine is bottle-fermented and aged on lees for 72 months. Crisp and dry, offering delicate floral and citrus aromas, with subtle hints of red apple skin and pomegranate. Lively and refreshing, with a light body and a clean, dry finish. A unique alternative to classic sparkling blends.

Tasting notes Sarsen Brut 2018 is a lively and expressive sparkling wine, offering a gentle spectrum of red fruit flavours. Notes of pomegranate, redcurrant, and red apple skin are layered with the delicate nuance of nectarine and a subtle, rosé-like floral character. The wine’s darker hue hints at its generous fruit profile, while a fine chalky texture provides structure and poise. Sitting just to the north-east of Bath, Tennygrove Vineyard was inspired by watching the movie 'A Good Year' at least annually for the last decade. When Ally and Rupert found themselves with land to spare at their farm with south-facing slopes and rich, loamy soil, there was no option but to plant vines. Tennygrove is poised to produce exceptional grapes that to produce English Sparkling Wine and Rose.
Managed by a team of experienced viticulturists, Tennygrove Vineyard is in full grape growing mode, and they are working carefully to preserve the natural beauty and fertility of the land. From careful soil management to precise pruning and harvesting techniques, every step of the process is designed to maximize the potential of the grapes and produce wines that truly showcase the unique terroir of Somerset.
