A Touch of Sparkle by Chapel Down is characterised by aromas of pineapple, grapefruit and elderflower. The gentle effervescence carries the tropical fruit and floral flavours giving a crisp, refreshing finish. The wine has been gently carbonated so as to not overpower the delicate aromas of the grape varieties of Bacchus and Chardonnay.

Grape Variety

Grapes: 75% Bacchus and 25% Chardonnay

Under the UK climate, Bacchus originally from the German region of Pfalz, has become a world class wine in its own right, developing distinct floral, citrus and grassy aromas that have led to frequent comparison with the highest quality Sauvignon Blancs.

Chardonnay is one of the classic grape varieties for sparkling wine production, for this reason it should come as no surprise that in the UK, where sparkling wine dominates production, Chardonnay is the most widely planted grape variety.
