This refreshing sparkling wine from vines growing in chalky soils in the lee of Salisbury Plain is slender and lemony, with a light, dry, and frothy texture. Made from 100% Chardonnay, it shows classic Blanc de Blanc character: zesty citrus, green apple, and a touch of chalky minerality. Lees aged for 60 months bringing gentle creaminess and a well-balanced finish. A pure, precise expression of native sparkling wine.

Tasting notes The Blanc de Blanc 2019 is a poised and elegant expression, showcasing the purity of Chardonnay grown on chalky soils. Crisp green apple and bright lemon peel lead on the palate, underpinned by a refined minerality that speaks clearly of its terroir. Extended ageing on lees lends a creamy texture and subtle depth, bringing balance to the wine’s linear freshness. The finish is long, clean, and beautifully composed – highlighting both precision and grace. |
Sitting just to the north-east of Bath, Tennygrove Vineyard was inspired by watching the movie 'A Good Year' at least annually for the last decade. When Ally and Rupert found themselves with land to spare at their farm with south-facing slopes and rich, loamy soil, there was no option but to plant vines. Tennygrove is poised to produce exceptional grapes that to produce English Sparkling Wine and Rose.
Managed by a team of experienced viticulturists, Tennygrove Vineyard is in full grape growing mode, and they are working carefully to preserve the natural beauty and fertility of the land. From careful soil management to precise pruning and harvesting techniques, every step of the process is designed to maximize the potential of the grapes and produce wines that truly showcase the unique terroir of Somerset.
