Snowdonia - Seven Time Winner of Best British Cheese Brand

Snowdonia Cheese Company wins Best British Cheese Brand for the seventh time

We’re proud to announce that Snowdonia Cheese Company has been voted as Best Brand in the British Cheese category in Fine Food Digest’s annual Best Brands survey for the seventh time – and the sixth year in a row.

This prestigious accolade is voted for every year by hundreds of independent retailers across the UK, from leading delis and farm shops to cheesemongers and luxury food halls.

Since first launching their signature Black Bomber extra mature Cheddar back in 2001, Snowdonia Cheese Company has received multiple awards. Last year, they won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade, in recognition of their Outstanding Continuous Growth within this category. Their products have also scooped up awards at the British Cheese Awards, Nantwich International Cheese Awards, the World Cheese Awards and Mondial du Fromage in France.

We’re also delighted to announce that Black Bomber, thier expertly aged extra mature Cheddar, has been awarded two stars in the prestigious Great Taste Awards, held by the Guild of Fine Food.

Here’s what the judges had to say:

“This is a delicious melt-in-your-mouth cheese that is mouth-watering and tastes fantastic”.

“Attractively presented, this cheese looks appealing, wrapped in a wax coating. Once cut, it has a vibrant yellow colour and pungent aroma. It is creamy with the taste of salt crystals and a hint of crumbling from the ageing. It is exotic and exceptional with a real richness to the flavour”.

“What a flavour bomb – intense flavour of the milk with salt crystals dispersed throughout”.
