Snowdonia Rock Star makes a star turn on new Gordon Ramsay TV show

Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay travelled to Snowdonia in north Wales for the “Wales Tales” episode of his new show, Gordon Ramsey: Uncharted Showdown – and we were excited to welcome him to the slate caverns where Snowdonia matures Rock Star, their vintage cave-aged Cheddar.

The three-part programme, airing on the National Geographic channel, shows Gordon learning new skills to create dishes inspired by each location he visits, before taking part in culinary competitions with stars including chef Paul Ainsworth and his daughter, presenter and cookbook author Tilly Ramsay.

For the episode on 16th November, he ventured down to our caverns in the heart of Snowdonia to learn all about how Snowdonia make their award-winning Rock Star, before resurfacing to face off against chef Matt Waldron for a Welsh rarebit cook-off.
